The History and Evolution
When you come into Stillwater to see family or head to BPS for a game, chances are you’ve passed Boomer Lake Station. The 18,761 square foot building on Boomer Lake. It is the city of Stillwater’s former electric generation facility that has set empty since it was decommissioned in 2016 following the construction of the new Stillwater Energy Center.
In short, it’s a vacant power plant and parcel of land on the end of Boomer Lake. The city of Stillwater has been looking for a developer with the right vision to transform the unoccupied facility into a meaningful development that will continue to position Stillwater as an evolving, growth-oriented community. The economic impact of such a development is good for the city, it’s residents, the university and students.
The biggest innovation project to come to Stillwater since Boone Pickens Stadium was brought to fruition.

A once Texas-based microbrewery that is moving to Stillwater. OSU alumni and Texas resident Shay Braun purchased the brewery with the idea to expand the brand and distribution of his favorite beer. Then covid hit and everything changed. Production was halted and life put on hold like everything else in 2019. But from that circumstance, a new idea was born.
